Overview
The Driving Instructors Diploma (DI.Dip) has been designed by the Driving Instructor's Association and Middlesex University. The Diploma has been created for people who have an interest in all aspects of road safety. As the Di.Dip is a nationally recognised qualification, it may count towards your CPD. Once you passed, you are then elegible to study for further qualifications.
The course consists of five modules. They are:
-
Module 1 - Legal obligations and regulations;
- Module 2 - Management of a small driving school;
- Module 3 - Vehicle maintenance and mechanical principles;
- Module 4 - Driving theory, skills and procedures;
- Module 5 - Instructional practices and procedures.
The course is based around the DIA Driving Instructors Manual as well as:
- The Highway Code;
- Know your traffic signs;
- The Official theory test for cars and motor motorcycles;
- The Official driving test;
Examinations are taken in April and May of the following year at a college. You may find that some colleges will accept external candidates
