It's not the DSA who are doing it. Don't forget that.

That

WayFee I believe the role is not ADI but someone to sell "GoDriveUK" and the benefits of being a Driving Instructor to all those people clutching their redundancy cheques...

It should make for an interesting job - but probably one where you are not the most popular recruiter in the street.

It's worth a look at the GoDrive website to see what they are offering to those wishing to become ADIs and work on the GoDrive franchise. Raises a few questions out of simple curiosity...

Strangly enough, a certain franchise has had a problem with it's instructors undercutting each other in the same area to get work, so they are looking at ways of preventing internal undercutting.

It was suggested that perhaps the instructors were victims of the instructor training programs success and they might want to consider restricting instructor training in some areas where there are already enough instructors.

Don't think it was the solution they wanted to hear somehow.

Yes, AA instructors are guilty of a few shenanigans of that sort ( ;)) But that's ADIs for you: 99.999% self-employed, not actually working for anybody, even if they're franchised to them. Hardly the franchiser's fault if the franchisee is an arse and is trying to undercut everyone else.

Bit of a different situation when it is the franchiser itself which is playing the shenanigans, though.
